Contracting Employees
NPA member firms recruit and retain on a contract basis for employers.
In addition to full-time direct placement, NPA member firms have the ability to recruit and retain on a contract basis for employers.
NPA members can provide full contract services including payroll and distribution of member profit checks, as well as worker's compensation and liability insurances needed for contract employees. Benefit packages vary by member.
Contracting for services is a simple process and includes the following steps:
NPA members arrange for an employer of record and then bill your organization on a weekly or other prearranged basis. Included in this simple billing are all the fees to recruit and maintain the contractor for your requirements.
The NPA member will arrange for all necessary federal and state tax forms, payroll direct deposit information, timesheets and instructions, and benefit package information. They are also accountable for completion of an I-9 form for each contractor.
You can be assured that each contractor is paid on a weekly basis. The process works as follows:
- Timesheets are completed and returned to a processing center no later than Tuesday morning
- Payroll is processed each Thursday
- Checks are mailed on Thursdays
- Direct deposit payroll is available on Friday of each week
